What is SNU Buddy?
SNU Buddy is a student-led organization under the Office of International Affairs that helps exchange students adjust to life in Korea and make friends at SNU. Throughout the semester, we host a wide variety of events designed to help you immerse yourself in Korean culture and student life here at SNU.
What it’s like to be a Buddy
Once you're registered and matched with your personal Korean buddy, you'll be placed into a group. Within your group, you’ll get to explore Korea together and create unforgettable memories, whether it's a visit to Gyeongbokgung Palace, N Seoul Tower, or other exciting spots around Seoul. Different group activities are organized monthly.
As an organization, we also host larger events open to all members of SNU Buddy like Welcoming Day(9/1), Food Festival, Superstar SNU(our very own talent show), Temple Stay and Taekwondo experience, and many more! From leisure and sports, to cultural exchange, entertainment, creativity, and archiving special moments, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Why are we here?
We’re here to foster meaningful cultural exchange between exchange students and SNU students, and to make sure that your exchange semester at SNU is as memorable as possible. Above all, we hope to become buddies who help make your time at SNU full of unforgettable experiences and lasting friendships!
