A Mostly Virtual Summer Term 2021

The University of Wisconsin-Madison is preparing for a return to mostly in-person classes starting this fall 2021 semester. As such, summer 2021 looks a bit different than what VISP has offered in the past. You can read more on our VISP Summer Term website.

VISP Credit Options for Summer 2021 Include:

  • Robust Online-only Course Offerings
    Online-only students experience the same world-class education from the comfort of home. There are hundreds of classes available in over 100 academic areas. With classes from 2-10+ weeks in length running between May and August, there are so many opportunities available.
  • Limited In-Person Study Available
    Summer is a great time to come to beautiful Madison, Wisconsin. And although options are more limited than in most years, there are still a number of attractive options. Courses are mostly available in our 8-week summer session that runs from June 14-August 8.

VISP Noncredit Virtual Offerings
Our virtual programs are designed to immerse students in the academic and social environment of the University of Wisconsin. Throughout the programs, students will receive instruction from UW professors, engage in panels and activities to learn about life on campus, and make connections with UW staff and students.

Virtual programs offered this summer include:

  • UW Advance Data Analytics and Informatics (July 12 ? 30)
    This 3-week program is designed to help students learn about topics in data analytics from well- qualified faculty while perfecting their skills in English communication and writing.
  • ACE Digital Storytelling (July 12 ? 30)
    During the program, students will produce and publish a portfolio of videos with compelling narratives and visuals to demonstrate their English storytelling skills while learning from digital media faculty and experts at UW ? Madison.
