Counseling Services for International Students

The Center for Campus Life and Culture (CCLC) provides professional counseling support for international students throughout their time at SNU.  As an international student, you may experience difficulties that range from mild adjustment concerns to more serious personal issues. Professional counselors are here to help you to achieve your maximum potential and fulfillment through counseling.

Counseling Services

Individual Counseling

Individual counseling provides an opportunity for you to meet (1:1 meeting) with a trained, professional counselor to discuss your concerns. For instance, it is not unusual for many international students to experience difficulties with cultural adjustment, homesickness, friendship and relationship concerns, career indecision, academic and family issues, emotional and personal problems, etc. Our professional counseling staff will work with you confidentially.

Personality/Aptitude Tests

Various tests are available to assist your understanding of your personality, ability, and occupational interests. Upon taking the tests, interpretation and explanation will be provided by our professional counseling staff.

Group Counseling

Group counseling consists of exploring yourself through interactions with other students of similar concerns led by a professional counselor. Specific group counseling services will be announced via website and e-mails.

Suicide and Crisis Hotline

If you are emotionally overwhelmed or are having suicidal thoughts, do not hesitate to contact us. The crisis counselors are available 24 hours.
