The Seoul Metropolitan Government is holding the 2025 Korean Speech Contest for International Students in Seoul – Preliminary Round.

Eligibilty: International students currently enrolled in universities in Seoul

 

Selection Process

- Document screening: 15 participants selected

- 2025 Korean Speech Contest for International Students in Seoul – Preliminary Round

* grand prize winner will proceed to the Mock APEC Korean Speaking Contest for University Students

 

Application

- How to Apply: fill out the application form, then email the form with the certificate of enrollment(재학증명서) to lsb0515@seoul.go.kr

- Application Period: 2025.6.4.(Wed) ~ 2025.6.20.(Fri)

- Number of Selected Participants: 15 people

- Results Announcement: admitted participants will be notified individually

 

Preliminary Round *Details to be announced TBD

- Round Details: participants selected among the 1st preliminary round will present on a topic related to "studying abroad in Seoul" for approximately 3 minutes

- Contest Date: 2025.7.3.(Thu) 14:00

- Contest Venue: Seoul Global Center International Conference Hall (서울글로벌센터 국제회의장)

- Awards: Grand Prize(1 person), Excellence Award(2 people), Merit Award(2 people)

- Results: will be announced on 2025.7.3.(Thu) 

 

Awards

- Grand Prize(1 person): 1) Seoul City Mayor Award 2) delegated as the Seoul representative of Mock APEC Korean Speaking Contest for University Students

- Excellence Award(2 people): 1) Seoul City Mayor Award 2) opportunity to participate in events held by Seoul Metropolitan Government

- Merit Award(2 people): 1) Seoul City Mayor Award 2) opportunity to participate in events held by Seoul Metropolitan Government
