Greetings from UC Berkeley Summer Sessions!
We are pleased to announce that the application for Berkeley Summer Sessions 2025 is now open for affiliate students.

EARLY registration for affiliated students is February 3, 2025 - February 17, 2025.
Enrollment won’t open to the general public until two weeks later on February 18. We strongly encourage affiliate students to take advantage of this special early enrollment period since classes fill on a first come, first served basis.

- Summer 2025 courses have been published in the Berkeley Academic Guide at classes.berkeley.edu.
Visiting students are eligible to enroll directly in any course with space available as long as they meet any pre-requisite requirements and there are no enrollment restrictions. Students may check for prerequisites in the Course Catalog.
A select few courses may have the notation “consent of department is required for enrollment.” In this case, the student will need to contact the academic department for permission to enroll. Contact information for the department is listed on their website.
- Fees & Deadlines
The Summer Sessions 2025 application deadlines, enrollment deadlines, and fees have been published on the summer website. Please note: the per unit fee will increase by $20 per unit in Summer 2025.Public Information Sessions - Open to all!
Berkeley Summer Sessions advisors are hosting live virtual Summer Sessions Info Sessions designed for anyone interested in enrolling in Summer Sessions. These info sessions will be offered from October through March. All are welcome!
- Cal Housing
- Cal Housing includes campus residence halls and apartments.
- For questions about campus housing, please contact summerhousing@berkeley.edu. Due to high volume, the average response time is 2-5 business days. Your patience is appreciated.
- Individual applicants may apply for housing through the housing website after enrolling in summer courses.
- Group Reservations are being accepted now! Groups of 25 or more will be eligible for a free room for a chaperone with a meal plan. If you are interested in a group booking, please send the following information to summerhousing@berkeley.edu:

International House
- International House, representing up to 85 countries at any given time, is a vibrant, multicultural living and learning community that fosters cross-cultural exchange, personal growth, and global understanding.
- I-House accepts both individual and group bookings for single or double occupancy rooms.
- Qualifying groups may be eligible for a discount. Please contact admissions@ihouseberkeley.org for more information.
- The group request form will open on January 25.
