“A unique two-week residential course on ‘Managing in the Digital Economy’ from Monday 24th June to Friday 5th July 2019 open to undergraduates and recent graduates from all disciplines. The programme is an excellent opportunity for students to gain entrepreneurial and digital skills, through relevant entrepreneurial tools such as Business Model Canvas and Value Proposition Canvas and ‘pitching’ their business idea to practitioners and academics.

A unique element of the SBS Summer School Programme includes:

  1. App and Web design: students will attend practical workshops on app and web design, enhancing their skills in building their first website using HTML and CSS as well as build their first mobile app using Swift or Java.
  2. An applied Group Project: students will develop practical oriented skills, by creating an application based business enhancing their entrepreneurial and market research skills.

The programme is led by expert academics in the field of digital innovation as well as practitioners supporting students with designing and pitching their business idea. Access to university facilities including library, VLE, and on-campus accommodation will be provided to all students. Company visits and social events are also included.
